LEGAL NURSE CONSULTING:

Screen and investigate cases for merit.

Organize, paginate and interpret medical records for cases.
-
Investigate medical record to determine causality, assess damages, and
identify essential missing information.
-
Define and document appropriate Standards of Care and deviations.
-
Conduct literature research if case determines the necessity.
-
Identify, locate and interface with experts, if needed.
-
Act as liaison and medical educator for attorney, parties, healthcare
providers, testifying experts, witnesses and others, if needed.
-
Develop comprehensive written reports or provide verbal reports as
needed including Chronology, Narrative, Chart and others.
-
Provide assistance in preparation of interrogatories and depositions, and
assist in preparing trial examination questions.

Coordinate and attend Independent Medical Examinations.
-
All Verbal and Written reports are prepared by a Certified Case Manager
and Legal Nurse Consultant.
MEDICAL
CASE REVIEW:
-
Review medical claims including catastrophic injury cases.
-
Review and evaluate medical records to assess and identify medical,
vocational, and life changing status.
-
Trinity will make recommendations based on our experience and expertise
to facilitate an outcome of compassion resulting in improved quality of
life.
-
Communicate with claims professionals and healthcare providers to
discuss case, including current medical history and projected treatment
plan.

Provide claims professionals with resources to defend or substantiate
claims and appropriate decisions.
-
All verbal and written reports are submitted by Certified Legal Nurse
Consultant, and Certified Registered Nurse Case Manager.
REGISTERED
NURSE AUDITOR:
-
Audits Medical Record for accuracy of billed charges.
-
Meeting with Internal and External Auditors to compare results and
negotiate a settlement.
-
Reports suspected and confirmed incidents of improprieties to
compliance.
-
Monitors compliance of Federal, State and County reimbursement
regulations.
-
Creating and maintaining database files for client(s).
-
Tracking audit results and Level of Care Adjustments for client(s).
COMPREHENSIVE
CASE MANAGEMENT REVIEW:

Creating a system of tracking and documentation to facilitate improved
quality of care. This
proven method fosters confidence in the provider and enables the Case
Manager to identify and address any new
problems immediately.

Establishing methods of effective Case Management in the Skill Nursing
Facility and Medical Offices

Identifying criteria for continued stay.

In-service on effective and safe Discharge Planning.

Expert chart review for Standard of Care compliance.
